Bio
Hi there! I'm Amelia, the voice over talent and actor behind the mic at A Lush Voice. I'm based in Plattsburgh NY, in Northern New York (way Upstate) but my professional home studio can accommodate you virtually, wherever you are in the world. I'm also available for in-person camera work in the Adirondacks, the North Country, Burlington VT, and Montreal with experience as an extra in films and small roles for internal business videos.

My voice is warm, friendly, and some say sophisticated with authority but always genuine and can bring a conversational feel to your project. My voiceover work ranges from digital ads, commercials, radio imaging, event narration, telephone systems messaging services (IVR), eLearning, corporate training and explainer videos - including online orientation for students at our local college.

I'm known for my responsiveness to clients, excellent communication skills (my superpower), high-attention to detail and providing a quick-turn around for projects.

My life experiences can bring an authentic, real-world voice to your project:
* Musical Theater and vocal training (need some singing in your project? I have a lovely alto voice)
* Master's degree in Applied Linguistics (TESOL) - can speak French and Portuguese decently, and I'm a former educator
* Lived, worked, studied, traveled on 5 different continents as a Rotary Exchange Student (French-speaking part of Belgium), Peace Corps Volunteer (Mozambique in Southeastern Africa) and recruiting international students for U.S. colleges and universities.
* Breast cancer survivor (while pregnant - yes, my daughter was born with more hair than me!). Medical terms don't scare me.

Realizing that tomorrow is never guaranteed really sparks a desire to live life at ELEVEN (uh yeah, I went there… and yes, that is a reference to Spinal Tap). Whether it’s skiing every possible snowy weekend with my kids + hubby in the Adirondacks or Vermont, camping in our ’96 Airstream all Summer/Fall by Lake Champlain, training for another sprint triathlon, or succumbing to one of my aquaholic urges (you know... that habit of keeping a spare swimsuit in your car in case your are suddenly compelled to jump into an inviting lake!) - I'm not one to let life pass me by.

If you've read my Bio this far - thank you! And I hope we can connect soon to talk about how I can support and enhance your next project.
